Package Overview:

The first civilizations in Nepal, which flourished around the 6th century B.C., were confined to the fertile Kathmandu Valley where the present-day capital of the same name is located. It was in this region that Prince Siddhartha Gautama was born c. 563 B.C. Gautama achieved enlightenment as Buddha and spawned Buddhist belief.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival Delhi
On arrival at Delhi, our representative will meet and assist you at the airport. Later transfer and check into the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Delhi - Lucknow
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and transfer to the railway station to board the train for Lucknow. On arrival at Lucknow
Day 3: Lucknow - Sravasti
After breakfast drive to Sravasti. On arrival check into the hotel. Sravasti- Saravasti , the capital of Kosala Mahajanapada , was the biggest town in the Gangetic plains during the Buddha's lifetime. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Sravasti - Lumbini
Breakfast at the hotel. Later proceed to visit Sahet Mahet. Later leave for Lumbini enroute visit Kapilavastu – the place where the Lord spent the first thirty years of his life. On arrival transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Lumbini - Kushinagar
Breakfast at the hotel.Later visit Birth place of Lord Buddha. Later drive for Kushinagar.Kushinagar is the place where Lord Buddha achieve salvation. Later afternoon visit Nirvana Temple , Ramabhar Stupa & Cremation site of Lord Buddha . Overnight at hotel
Day 6: Kushinagar - Patna
Breakfast at hotel. Check out and drive to Patna enroute visit Vaishali. On arrival transfer to hotel. Vaisali- The Lord Buddha visited Vaishali more than once during his lifetime and announced his approaching Mahaparinirvana to the great followers he had here.Overnight at hotel.
Day 7: Patna - Rajgir - Bodhgaya
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and drive to. Enroute visit Nalanda and Rajgir. On arrival check into the hotel. Bodhgaya -As the place of the Buddha's Enlightenment, Bodhgaya is the spiritual home of Buhddhists. Bodhgaya situated near the river Niranjana, is one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage centres since it was here that Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree.Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Bodhgaya
Breakfast at hotel. Later proceed for visit temple and Niranjana river. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9: Bodhgaya - Varanasi
Breakfast at hotel. Check out and drive to Varanasi. On arrival transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit
Day 10: Varanasi
Early morning at 5 a.m. drive through city of Ghats (stone steps) on the banks of the river, then embark on a boat excursion on the Ganges. After breakfast visit Sarnath 10 Kms from the holy city of Varanasi, The beginning of the celebrated Mantra, " Buddham Sharanam Gachhami ", owes Its origin to Sarnath. Afternoon varanasi city, The Vishwanath Temple & The Dugra Temple. The Benaras Hindu University has an art gallery and a marble temple. Overnight stay.
Day 11: Varanasi - Kathmandu – By Flight
On time assistance & transfer to airport for flight to Kathmandu. On arrival, our representative will meet and assist you at the airport. Later transfer and check into the hotel. Afternoon proceed for the guided city tour of Kathmandu including
Day 12: Kathmandu
Morning tour of Sayambhunath Stupa- the oldest Buddhist shrine. It is said to be 2,000 years old. Painted on the four sides of the spire’s base are the all – seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. It is 3 km west of Kathmandu City and is situated on a hillock about 77 m above the level of Kathmandu Valley and commands an excellent view of the Valley. This Stupa is the oldest of its kind in Nepal. It was also listed in the Unesco World Heritage Monument List in 1979. Afternoon excursion of Patan. Overnight stay
Day 13: Kathmandu
Morning sightseeing tour to Bouddhanath Stupa: The stupa of Bouddhanath lies 8 kms east of Kathmandu. This ancient colossal Stupa is one of the biggest in the world, and is the centre of Tibetan Buddism in Nepal. Listed in the Unesco World Heritage Monument List in 1979. And Pasupatinath Temple: This important Hindu temple is the temple of Lord Shiva, The temple with a two tiered golden roof and silver door is considered one of the holiest shrines for Hindus. Although only Hindus are allowed inside the temple, visitors can witness the activities performed in the temple premises from the eastern bank of the Bagmati River. The temple was listed in the Unesco World Heritage Monument List in 1979. Overnight stay. Afternoon tour of Bhakatapur. Dinner Overnight stay.
Day 14: Kathmandu - Delhi
Morning leisure and afternoon transfer to airport to connect flight to Delhi by IC-814 Dep. 1610 Hrs / Arr. 1715 Hrs or 9W-261 Dep 1415 Hrs / Arr 1545 Hrs. Arrive Delhi dinner with India Dance Show at local restaurant and transfer to International airport to connect flight for your onward destination.
